I have read a few business books, and they all agree that in order to unite a team of workers, they need to have the same goal. As in, the goal of a successful team of salespeople needs to be more sales; the goal of a successful team of performers is to have a full house, and the goal of a successful team of scientists is to science the heck out of the subject.
Bill 4 is a perfect example of how the moral values are abolished, and monetary ones take their place.
This Thursday, the roads finally were in a condition I deemed safe for a motorcycle rider; so I grabbed my passport and the paperwork I got from the CIC, and went to Point Roberts. Of course, with no GPS or a prior knowledge of the route, I got lost, and spent an extra 30 minutes re-navigating myself, but, finally, I’ve made it to the border in one piece and with some fuel left in the tank.
Unfortunately, I am not (yet) at the point where I can make long speeches and write books about my business successes (I can write a short memo, maybe). However, I have just finished reading a book by Mark Cuban called “How to Win at the Sport of Business”.
Since the day I’ve got the e-mail from the CIC I have been a little worried that something may be going wrong. Are they going to receive my passport? Will they stamp the visa in and send it back right away? What if it gets lost on the way back?
