Late Night Munchies, or a $100 Hot Dog

After a night out – clubbing, drinking or twister at your grandma’s (it is wrong, unless you are Swedish), people tend to get the feeling of hunger, which is commonly referred to as “munchies”. I prefer donairs – my favourite place is Donair Dude on Davie, mainly for their gigantic portions for funny prices, and very friendly staff; but many prefer pizza and hot dogs over, I guess, due to their mass availability.

There is a place on Granville with a human-sized hot dog figure, which (or who) puts ketchup on itself (himself) called Dougie Dog. I have passed this place many times, but never went inside. Yesterday I came across a video about late night food in downtown Vancouver, which (not who) featured this joint. Have you ever tried a $100 hot dog? Neither have I.

The owner seems to be a nice guy, and the bacon and mac’n’cheese dog sounds damn fine

The owner of the hot – dog place was in the show Dragon’s Den on CBC and got $200,000 investment for his business. (and gave up 50%). Very cool guy. Never tried the place though
